PRETENDING HE’S MINE (LOVE ON CUE) by Mia Sosa

PRETENDING HE’S MINE (LOVE ON CUE) by Mia Sosa ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Pretending he’s mine is the second book in the Love on Cue series. We meet Julian Hart and Ashley Williamson in the first book. This is an interracial story featuring a Caucasian woman and African-American Man. Ashley has had feelings for Julian for years. At some point Julian also realizes that Ashley is not the little girl in pig tails anymore. I like the Authors flirty writing style. A set of circumstances leads them to pretend they are a couple for the weekend, but are they really pretending? In the midst of everything going on they truly help each other realize their true passions.

The Author has written Ashley with a clever sense of humor. Julian is more serious and there are quite a few times where she says something that has Julian at a loss for words. There are some hot and steamy physical scenes. There is some graphic language as well so be prepared for that. The theme of Friend to lovers is the strength of the book.

Even though this book is part of a series, it can be read as a stand-alone. There are strong secondary characters and some interactions that set the stage for the next book in the series. There is a villain of sorts who is more annoying than anything. The interactions with Ashley’s cousin make the reader root for her even more. Overall, this is a good read
