No Pain, No Gain: Adrienne Thompson

5 Stars *****

The second book, No Pain, No Gain, in the Latter Rain Series proved to be worth the wait. The story of Rochelle Warrior was totally solid. I loved all the characters in this story because they were believable. There is, however, something almost magical about the Hyacinth Manor, its owner Ms. Rosa, and the legendary Room Ten. I highly recommend this series, although this book can be read as a stand alone. As usual, the author scored big points with the sound track that accompanies this story of love lost and love regained. I was a bit surprised that Betty Wright's 'No Pain, No Gain’ was not included in the eclectic play list. I can't wait for the next story; I know it's going to be just as gratifying as this one. Great story for all of the Contemporary Romance readers out there. I highly recommend it!
